f you wish to study your undergraduate degree in Actuarial Science fully in Malaysia, the best place for local university offering would be UKM (University Kebangsaan Malaysia). They are highly specialised, established and well known for this course. Student majoring in UKM's BSc. (Hons.) in Actuarial Science must register and pass 100 units of courses which are categorised as follows:-

-- University Courses 12cr
-- Faculty Core Courses (VH) 4cr
-- School Core Course 12cr
-- Major Core Courses 45cr
-- Technical /Social Science Courses 15cr
-- Elective Courses 12cr

The University of Mara Institute of Teknologi (UiTM) is offering this course at the diploma and undergraduate level.

The entrance requirements for applicants of Actuarial Science Programme must:-

-- passed at least a grade C in Mathematics and two other courses at the KPM Matriculation level or
-- passed Mathematics and one of the science subjects with at least a grade E at the STPM level or
-- passed with at least a grade C in Mathematics and two other courses at the Diploma level.

If you wish to transfer oversea to study Actuarial Science, you can enrol into any of the transfer programme such as: INTI College AUP (American University Transfer Programme). You will study 2 years here in Malaysia in the AUP than officially obtain Advance Standing to study oversea for the undergraduate course of actuarial science.

Is best you do it the whole course locally for 3 years. Even if you study oversea, when you return you still need to sit for external professional paper/ modules to be a certifed Actuarial Science practiticioner. It happened to my friend who used to study in Actuarial Science programme.
